The yellow balloon on top is ego. Swadisthan chakra, which is for our creativity, is directly connected to our ego. When [the Swadisthan chakra] starts rotating around the Void and going to various parts of the Void, it collects all the problems of the Void. Void is that green circle within us. In the Void, we have the Uterus, Kidney, all the Intestines, Liver (mostly upper part), ascending Transverse, descending Coils, Pancreas and the Spleen.
So all the problems of these organs are collected by the Swadhisthan chakra, which moves around and around, and collect and come out of the Nabhi chakra. [The Swadhisthan chakra] nourishes, gives power, the vital power to these organs. It also generates the necessary power for our creative action, it also collect the Fat Cells of the Void and convert them into the proper cells for the gray matter in the brain.
All this work has to be done by this one chakra. It manifests the Optic Plexus on the physical level. It has got six sub plexuses, which look after these organs. This is meant for our action. When we go into action, these chakras start moving.
By the first power, which is on the left channel (the blue channel), we desire, and by the right channel (the yellow channel), we go into action. When the action starts within us, it produces the by-products, or we can say all the problems of the organs, and these are to be disposed somewhere and they are deposited in the brain.
All the problems that we have of these organs out of this creativity or any action are to be counter balanced. The ego develops. Because we do action, we have to have satisfaction. As a result, ego develops. The more we rationalize our activity, the more ego develops. We get identified with our ego. Supposing you have made a very good poetry, then you want to be appreciated. When you create some art, art could not give you satisfaction. You develop ego and ego has to be satisfied: others should say, you are very good, you are a genius. The more you indulge in planning, the more you get ego. The more you pump, the balloon goes on.
It is very easy to fool an ego-oriented man. A simple-hearted man cannot be easily fooled. Ego means mis- appreciation. Ego is never satisfied.
What happens physically, when the yellow balloon spreads on your head all over?  The aura of the brain normally surrounds the heart, but when there is ego problem, the ego surrounds the heart, the brain is cut off from the heart, so you are a disintegrated person.
Your heart runs in one direction, your brain runs in another. Your body runs in a third direction and your emotion runs in a fourth one. Four people running four horses. It is impossible to stand on two stools, but to stand on four stools? One should have very big legs!
Ego is very dangerous for Kundalini awakening. You are much higher than ego, much greater than ego, much more than ego. What have people received from ego? – Nothing. With ego, at the most what can you get? Imagine, the entire head is covered with yellow stuff and the blue thing becomes very small. Then, first your desire is diminished. You do not desire anything, your ego desires. No combination of thinking and your heart. You do not seek anything from your heart. Activity of heart has become practically null.

Anything doesn’t satisfy your ego, you get upset about it. One must go on saying that you are a unique personality. (One must praise you.) You cannot get joy, because joy comes from your heart. Joy, you can get only from your heart. With ego orientation, you can get many diseases like Arthritis, Kidney failure, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Attack. Because of overactivity, Liver is neglected. Because of too much thinking, you may get Paralysis. You get misidentified and condemn others.
You are not seeking from your heart. You are seeking from your brain. Your ego desires. Ego cuts you out from your heart and leaves you nowhere.
You are much higher than ego. What have people achieved through ego? If God has given you some knowledge of the unknown, one should not be pampered by it. He has graciously given you. Take that with humility. You should detest your ego, make fun of yourself. See in front of the mirror and say “alright Mr Ego !” and make a fun of yourself, then your ego will go down. Raise the left channel, and push down the right channel, then there is a gap in between, and you raise the Kundalini. This is Shri Vidya of the Holy Spirit. Sahaja Yoga is the only way through which we can face ego.
You have no time to judge others. Just see your Self. Face it, you do not do any living work.  Everything is done by the Divine. He is the doer and he is the enjoyer. Then you become one with the Divine. The power of the Divine is passing through you. If the doer is lost, then who is going to do Karmas? Then there is no Paap and Punya (sins and good deeds).
When Mr. Ego has gone, all liabilities have gone with him. Your mouth does not say ”I am eating” and your hand does not say “I am working”. When you become integrated, then you see the whole is working and we as part are working. Then all the responsibilities are finished.
If you do not do any work, but you desire, then the blue stuff (superego) is more. With superego (conditionings and memories), you get physical problems, you get mental problems, you go on thinking and you go on arguing.
So you should be in the centre. Watch your ego and superego. You should not expect anything from others. With ego, you expect from others, with superego, you do for others… In the centre, you emit your Self, which is joy and love.

This is a very good explanation of ego and super ego – thank you. Even practicing Sahaj meditation I struggle with my ego, but at least I can see it for what it is.

I definitely recommend “Shoebeating” which I think is the most effective and easiest way to take down the Ego. It worked for me. You should try this technique regularly in order to achieve fast results. Ego is the problem of modern times and many of us are not aware of it until we start Sahaja Yoga.
The main point is – do not fight with your Ego nor react to it. Just laugh at it if you can. Ego will always be there, but only after you humble down yourself, it will serve to your Self(Spirit).
Hope these will help you.
Best wishes

ego is nothing but recognizing the self as a individual identity. self cannot be said to be existing or non existing, pervasive or non pervasive, ego or egoless. for the sun their is nothing called shine or no shine, sun rise or sun fall, brightness or darkness.

Hi,
I have been meditated for the last three years,
the first year and half was amazing it is
like a dream, until I get start distracting by the energy that I have on my head and jaw, the moment I start meditating I start feeling heaviness on my head and jaw, I have researched to many webs and read books I still would not be able to get answer, how to release the energy, some says it is negative energy or energy cognition. Now I am with my dream one day…. What do you think it is, ego? do you think Sahaja Yoga would help me?

Teri,
It is hard to know why your meditation has ceased to be “a dream” and has become distracted by energies at the head and jaw.
But the solution might be as simple as this: put your attention to your Sahasrara at the top of the head, don’t think, don’t worry, become.
The original dream-like meditations that you experienced for 18 months did not come about through your own efforts. That state will return by desiring it, but not by doing.
If anything, perhaps not doing some things might help. Look at your present life and see how it is different from your life during the good meditation period. Are you mixing the medicines? Is there a practice or a habit (good or bad) that you are doing now which might be interfering with your meditation? Smoking or drinking are obvious drags on our spiritual ascent, but so can be other things which might at first seem to be good. Another type of meditation, a ritual practice or “false knowledge” fall into that category, but so does anything done in excess or extreme.
This Sahaja Yoga is about balance. And the events of this world are always trying to throw us out of balance. The buffeting can become so constant that it appears normal.
Who knows what the answer is? But chances are, you do.
Drop everything. Go back to what you know to be true. And start over. And you are there.
Richard
