Meditation and cool breeze (vibrations)

Meditation and cool breeze

Everything in creation emits vibrations, but the ability to feel them comes only with Kundalini awakening. Once Kundalini is awakened, vibrations can be felt on the palms of the hand, in the body and on top of the head as a cool or warm breeze. A person or a thing emitting cool breeze (not cold) is balanced and spiritually pure. Hot breeze or tingling or uncomfortable vibrations indicate an imbalance or a lack of harmony.

Once you have experienced the cool breeze on the hands, it is possible to detect similar vibrations emitted from other objects or even situations.

Everything has a vibration

vibrations-cool-breezeYou might say everything has a colour, a texture, a feel, a sound or a smell. That is how we know it. We recognize something and we can identify it with our senses. We give it a name. We know whether to be wary or cautious or welcoming by what our senses tell us.

But there is also another way: vibrations. Everything has a vibration.

Just as a person might be colour-blind, we can also be unable to sense these vibrations. Before Enlightenment (Self-realization), we are “vibration-blind” and we do not know it. We are not open to that side of our awareness. Nonetheless, the vibrations have always been there.

To catch the rain, we only have to turn bucket upwards.

When a radio which is switched on, like magic it begins to receive the music, the news, the message of the world. The invisible waves begin to make sense.

In the same way, with Enlightenment (Self-realization), a new avenue of sense available to us. We begin to get it. We start to feel the vibrations.

Simply put: this is our spirit talking to us.

It is not artificial. It is not based on our intelligence. It is not fed by our ego, created by our prejudice or constructed by our conditioning.

Vibrations are the straight story – straight from our spirit. Just as a rose is red, a fire is hot or a river is wet, the vibrations we feel are absolute.

Our spirit wants us to ascend, to become something better today than we were yesterday. Our spirit is our better self. It is our true self. It is the spark or flicker in our heart which is us. It is our inner self, the true self that remains when everything else is stripped away.

And when we listen to that spirit, when we feel the vibrations talking to us – as cool, as warm, as hot – we know which way to turn. We know what is correct and what is incorrect. Through vibrations we gain discretion. And that is our tool for growth.

So what are vibrations?

They are a new sense by which we can guide ourself through that forest of illusions, which we call our lives.

Vibrations are our spirit telling us which way to go. But first – we have to listen. We have to learn how to tune the dial.

    Hi,

I sometimes feel a cool breeze on top of my head randomly (while watching TV, reading books etc) and sometimes I feel the Kundalini rising up my spine while just sitting down etc. What is happening and why is this happening? I’m worried and don’t know what to do…

    Thanks :-)

    Dear Gg,

not being exactly sure what you are talking about, could you please specify what you mean by you`ve had this since you were 14? Do you mean the rise of your Kundalini?

That is completely possible, and it happens to a rare number of people to have a spontaneous awakening of Kundalini. But as everybody else, whether it was spontaneous at some point in one`s life or through guidance from Sahaja Yoga practitioners during a meditation class, one still has to meditate to keep the peace going :)

Let us know how you feel,
    Warm regards,
    Erwan

    Hi Brandon,

These areas you are going to are in the Agya chakra and are blockages stopping you ascending to the 7th Chakra. These areas are not meant for us, and the very extreme areas of creation.

I recommend you find a local Sahaja Yoga workshop near you http://www.freemeditation.com/meditation-classes/ and attend a free collective meditations. Also at home, you can try staring into a candle for a few minutes, also reading “The Lords Prayer” helps alot. Than try and get into meditation.

    All the best,

    Hi Vishal

İf you are practising Sahaja Yoga and feeling the vibrations then there is nothing to be afraid of. This is the sign of the Kundalini awakening. You should learn the meaning when it is cool and warm depending on which hand you are feeling.

You may also feel the vibrations on top of your head on the last chakra.

When there is an imbalance in our emotional or mental side, then we feel warm. With the help of regular practice of Sahaja Yoga meditation, we can balance them thus inner peace, satisfaction and joy can manifest themselves within us.

You may also feel some sensations like tingling on any of your fingers which shows the blockage in the corresponding chakra.

    Hope I can explain clearly.

    Warm wishes

    Hi,
I recently started to feel this cool wind yesterday night on my face and back. This morning it is now om my right palm and right cheek. Not so much on the left side. I began the process of awakening the third eye, last night when I was doing it it came across my face. I fealt as if a higher being was doing reiki on me or I awakened something. I feel so happy and feel love for everything right now. Could this be the kundalini awakening? If so, is here anything I should know?

    Dear Nathan,

what you feel is indeed the expression of your inner subtle energy otherwise called Kundalini. You can simply verify it with that process below:
    http://www.freemeditation.com/online-meditation/self-realization-workshop-kundalini-awakening/

There is much much to know, but for now, only that you need to meditate every day :=), it would be a good starter.

I can’t feel vibrations: when I feel something I think it might be autosuggestion. How can I feel if it? And how can i think of nothing during meditation? I can’t.

Francesca, don’t worry if you can’t feel anything straight away, i meditated over the course of a month before feeling anything, it’s different for everyone. For me it took a little more time because I used to smoke, and this blocked the 5th chakra on the throat, which allows us to feel the cool/hot vibrations. Try meditating for 5-10 min a day as an experiment and see how you feel after a week!

    all the best :-)

if a lot of thoughts come to your mind while meditating francesca just say this in your mind,
“Mother you are the doer, you are the enjoyer, I am just a reflection of God almighty,The pure spirit witnessing this eternal and divine play of yours”,Say it from your heart and then see the difference.
At least I said this many times before i got my realisation and started feeling the vibrations.
Coming to this strange experience of yours I would only like to say this, after your realisation you become a universal being not really bound by anything, If you are sensitive enough you will be able to see this subtle reflection of yours in mother nature and of Hers in you. So there is really nothing to worry about it..

    Hi Takis!
This Cool Vibratons is actually the lforce that permeats ang gives life to the whole world. In theory it might resemble Reiki, but in practise there seem to be great differences. Reiki for one is most usually conencted with a feeling of warmth, warm energy flowing, while in Sahaja Yoga we know for a fact that warm feelings indicate friction, tension and imbalance. Cool Vibrations are, as the name suggests, cool…. Of course, this is only a short comparison and only practise can show you , and actually prove, the nature and effect of Cool Vibrations.

I have attained my self realisation. I am not a regular sahaj yogi but i adopt the methods taught there like foot soaking, etc. My left side is not sensitive at all, i could not feel the cool or warmness in my left palm(though i can feel the vibrations). How should i heal my insensitivity in left side. I did foot soaking various times but nothing happened. I also feel quite shy in public meditation of Sahaja yoga. I heard that sahaja yogis can read the minds of people and heals the unbalanced chakras of people. I practice sahaja yoga alone in my room with just me and sri mataji. How can i heal the insensitivity of my left side. Please help.

Hi there 2 days ago I started to meditate for the first time and with in 10 mins I felt the room light up
I felt a breeze flowing strongly around my hands and entire body as though someone was holding me tight. Also as if something was pulling me towards them I felt totally relaxed and happy and tho my eyes where closed I saw something flowing in and out of my chest. I have never felt anything like this before and when I opened my eyes tears flowed and I thanked god or whoever visited my that day. Later that afternoon I sat and meditated again and within minutes the same thing happened again I cried again soon after it was the powerful and amazing feeling I have ever experienced since then I feel calm and stress free it’s beautiful.

I meditated for the first time the other day. It was a group meditation. We held hands with our thumbs pointed to the left. On my left was a woman I had never met before but she mentioned she meditated often and my hand in hers was on fire with vibration. Very very uncomfortable. My fingers actually started to contract near the end of holding hands!!!! Like they do when you are shocked! On my left was my daughter who has never meditated before and the vibration in that hand was very very mild….hardly felt. I talked to the woman after and I could tell she hadnt felt anything uncomfortable. Was I feeling my own imbalance and lack of harmony?…… and why so little vibration from the hand holding my daughters? Thanks for any imput. I have a terrible feeling that feeling WAS my own imbalance. Geezzz :( Was anything achieved?

Hi there. I have had the same thing happen to me. Now, the person on my left side..my fiance I felt a smooth energy. The person on my left side seemed to be drawing on all the energy. She was pulling it out of the circle. Everyone was holding hands…and the energy was flowing from one person to another and she was pulling it in very strongly. I am very sensitive to energy. My hand hurt so bad but I kept holding hands with her so as not to break the cirlce. I asked her about it and she looked at me and said you are very sensitive. Now…I have to say I have many things to learn about energy. I am an energy freak of sorts but I have to learn how to control my own and not take on others energy. The very nice woman told me she is Wiccan and she pulls energy. I do not know much about this…but I can say this lady was very powerful. I had actually forgotten about this experience until I saw your post. I had never been in a circle this way. A metaphysical store was closing and everyone was holding hands around a tree saying their goodbyes to the store.

Meditation has been wonderful for me,a life saver I believe.
I have schizophrenia and meditation helps me.
I go to the free meditation in London groups with Sahaja Yoga whenever I can.
Sahaja Yoga does offer a lot of stability.
I have had things accepted by Your Voice, the magazine of Rethink mental illness. There were two “lightbulb moments”:
    “God spoke to you by so many voices but you would not hear,”from the novel A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce;
“Courage!I must send the letter!” from the letter scene in the opera Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky based on the verse novel by Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
I had My Story in the spring issue of Your Voice.
In 2003 I was “highly commended” in the catagory of courage by the Beacon Fellowship Trust for writing about my schizophrenia and spreading Sahaja Yoga.
How wonderful Sahaja Yoga is,and it is free too!

    Dear Dave,

those sensations simply mean than you are experiencing very warm vibrations which need to be taken out of your subtle body, therefore I would advise you the following:
    http://www.freemeditation.com/meditation-basics/meditation-techniques/

Footsoaking is a method used by all the Sahaja Yoga practitioners and its very effective to completely relax you, and draw out from your inner body all warm and heavy vibrations.

Let us know how you feel after that,

    Thank you,

    Hi,
Thank you the insight. I noticed when you wrote about the cool breeze energy you specified “not cold”. I’ve been meditating for several years. Over the past year I’ve been having some bizarre experiences. Now when I sit in meditation I always feel energy around me. Most consistently I sense something approaching me from behind and a cold breeze on my feet. It feels almost as if something is vigorously fanning cold air – it definitely feels as though something is moving back and forth. This is often followed by the sensation of something nudging my left side from my legs up through the side of my head, followed by intense tingling. My sense is it’s something entering my body. One other fairly consistent happening is something touching the top of my head. Any idea what this might be? Another interesting, but more subtle phenomenon is something that feels like a small tempest of cool air on my knuckles. I would really appreciate any insight or guidance.

    Dear George,

one`s experimentation is sometimes very personal and we can`t be sure of what exactly is happening through your subtle body. It seems that you are experiencing the expression of your inner subtle energy, with tinglings, cool breeze and other sensations related to the state of your inner subtle body. Now I`d say very simply, as long as it feels good, and at peace inside, and you feel united with your inner-self, everything is fine.

And yes cool not cold, cold or warm is sign of inner unbalances whether its on one hand or both hands.

I hope to have been able to clarify things for you,
    warm regards,

    Erwan,
Thank you so much, it’s nice to get that reassurance. My teacher passed on over 10 years ago and it’s been especially difficult getting through the “spiritual emergency” that started in March 2013, so I’m very grateful for the insight.

I do have a couple of follow up questions; over the past year I have worked with over a dozen practitioners in various specialties to help me “clear” myself – most of them were very good, but not one mentioned kundalini rising as a possibility for what was happening to me. I did not consider it myself because I never had the most common symptoms (based on my research) of spontaneous movements and/or of my body assuming certain yoga postures. I also experienced some vicious psychic attacks and went through an extended phase of attracting parasitic entities – especially during meditation. My assumption about the kundalini rising phenomena was that it’s all driven by internal energy originating from an individual’s own body or from the earth. I’m curious on your take on this. I understand you can’t be too specific since you don’t know me, but would you think what I’m describing could be a Kundalini Rising response? Is it possible that this phenomena would include external energy/entities?

For example one way I am forewarned about an entity approaching is an audible tap or knock in the wall, window frame, door or ceiling. Sometimes I’ll hear a tap on a lamp shade or a very slight sound, like a soap bubble popping. During a three month phase they announced themselves with a low frequency tone, often sounding a lot like a fog horn. Bizarre I know…I’m totally perplexed. I have learned to take it all in stride, but I have fallen into a deep funk and have generally disengaged from the world in many ways. If you can shed any light on any of this for me I would greatly appreciate it.
    Light & blessings,
    George

Sorry about the long post – and for making it even longer here! I just want to clarify my main point in describing the sounds these things make is that it’s clear they approach me from well outside my space and even from outside of my house. I probably get carried away describing the various sounds because my ego still indulges in the novelty of these happenings. Thank you!

    Dear George,

all that matters is one’s ability to enter a thoughtless state and be at peace, if you want to know whether your Kundalini has risen or not, the best way is to experiment the protocol developed by Shri Mataji when starting Sahaja Yoga, which is the following:
    http://www.freemeditation.com/online-meditation/self-realization-workshop-kundalini-awakening/

Now with that protocol you should be able to perceive your Kundalini and enter into meditation :) Kundalini originates from your sacrum bone area at the very base of your spine and from nowhere else. It is a very simple process :=). You enter then into a whole new realm that is away from any perplexity and doubts.

    All the best,
    Erwan

    Dear George,

the dozen practitioners that you had over the years never mentioned Kundalini because one has to have it awakened in order to know about it.

All I can suggest to you right now, is to meditate daily and enjoy the experimentation of the awakening of your Kundalini. Do not think about anything else, just feel and be thoughtless, nothing else counts :)

    Hi,

When the cool breeze sensation turned on for me. I thought it was because I spontaneously opened up my heart chakra. Im also a reiki healer and have had many spiritual counselling clearing sessions over the years. As a result of these counselling sessions I felt a cool breeze around my heart chakra soon after that, I became psychic. I would like to know if this is my heart chakra causing the cool breeze or other chakras I also opened up. What is the predominant chakra that causes this breeze. And have I maybe caused the kundalini to start, although thankfully I’ve never experienced the energy rushes kundalini causes. Please can you help enlighten me as to what’s going on. Id appreciate this Thank You.

the main chakra that makes the cool breeze flow is the last of the 7 chakras called as Sahasrara. Now I am unsure whether all your chakras are opened but you can just experience it through that process here http://www.freemeditation.com/online-meditation/self-realization-workshop-kundalini-awakening/ and find out by yourself.

Its always a new experimentation to do it twice :)

    All the best,
    Erwan

I have started doing meditation around 20 days back. On second or third day I saw white colour in front of me, though thereafter i never saw any particular color. But after that I started feeling some kind of vibrations starting from my head and going throughout the body. These feelings are still there even if I am doing some work or travelling. I feel like emitting some vibrations out of my body. Is it a common phenomenon or just my mind set. Though i enjoy these calm sensations. Also at times, though rarely, i feel a state of zero thoughts.
Kindly suggest if i am on right track.

    Dear Vivek,

once one has his Kundalini awaken, vibrations are definitely being emitted from his/her subtle body wherever you are and flowing throughout the body as well.

As you said yourself, you feel at a state of zero thoughts and calm inside, you are absolutely on the right track :), keep going!

    All the Best.

    Dear komal,

what feels your cousin has to see with the agnya chakra or 6th center of energy. A chakra can express itself in many different ways and sometimes, strange motion can happen, it all depends of the kind of cleansing that is going on.
If it hurts or the sensation is unpleasant, the affirmation to repeat is “I forgive, I forgive everyone and myself“. Fully and honestly.

    Let me know if anything,
    Warm regards,
    Erwan

So im not sure what is happening to me. its been about 6 months the first instance was vertigo over the course of 3 days with no sleep and high stress about it then all of my muscles began twitching. I went to acupuncture later that evening. I was lying down after drinking the herbal tea given to me. I distinctly remember laying on my back arms to side and palms up very very relaxed to the point of dozing off. when something jolted me I could feel the negative energy in my chest when the rest of my body was serenely calm but the negative radiated out. I was told anxiety and stress I went on valium for 1 week and discontinued , after I discontinued. my main problem was severe insomnia unable to sleep , I faced it head on with no medication or sleep aids not even melatonin. during this period I had an extreme internal vibration in the back right at the base of the skull and neck. It went from intense to mild within a few days. months later my eyes cannot seem to focus I have had days where everything seems unreal and lights were very annoying I just wasn’t perceiving anything as it should be in my normal state of being. still 6 months later I go to bed and wake up with this uneasy feeling of what I describe as electrical currents or vibrations , they were at the neck and base of skull again , but have subsided again and now maintain mildy throughout my arms shoulders jaw. I also have headaches I believe from my eyes trying to focus and see things normal. eye doctors say my focus is slow but 20/20 vision. I read about kundlini and it coincides with a lot of symptoms that also coincide with a lot of illnesses like Lymes disease/candida/ and a few others. I just want to feel normal and be able to see the world correctly and wake up without this uneasy current flowing through me feeling.

    Dear Surj,

for what I have understood of all that you have written, it appears your right side needs to be very much worked on as well as you fifth chakra and sixth chakra on the back of your head.

here is what you need to do http://www.freemeditation.com/meditation-basics/meditation-techniques/.

For back Agnya (sixth chakra on the back of your head) use a candle behind your head, you need somebody to help you out with that by holding the candle, or find a place low enough to put the candle so that the back of your head can be at the same level, whether sited or standing.

    Hope it helps,
    kind regards,

Hi – I start meditating by reading and watching videos on the net. On the very first day, I had vibration on the center on my forehead. felt vibration/tingling on pelvis area as well. I couldn’t feel warm/cold feelings.

What is it? Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    ~Deep

    Dear Deep,

feeling vibrations is essentially showing you the state of your inner subtle system, best is cool soothing vibrations, cold/warm mean something out of balance.

So you are doing absolutely fine, something wrong would be not feeling vibrations at all. Keep going, you are doing good!

    Warm wishes,
    Erwan

    HI Erwan,

Thank you so much for your quick response.

What do you mean with this? ‘cold/warm mean something out of balance’

Could you please explain in little details?

    Regards,
    ~Deep

    Dear Deep,

the cold/warm sensations means something subtly out of balance. It needs to be a cool and soothing breeze of vibrations which comes from being centered on the Sushumna Nadi (central channel), and not on left nor right channel. You can then become thoughtless and thus have this cool breeze coming out.

    I hope its clear enough.

    Best wishes,
    Erwan

I had experience this warm cool breeze while waking up in the middle of the night there was a tingling feeling around my neck. The air brushing through my hair and head. There was a scent i recall as the smell of the outdoors, nature itself. I had before experience sleep parylysis but I knew this was definitely different and it was peaceful. I didnt meditate but I am sure the love that I felt at the time surrounded me with such good energy. I want to embrace it again. Do you have an idea what the scents might symbolize or perhaps what this energy I felt is. I am open to further explore what I experience. Thanks

    Dear Saria,

the scent you recall is the scent of gravity in the sense of innocence. When we are innocent and have our first chakra called as Mooladhara is established, we have the gravity provided by that chakra and it gives us the ability to be closer to nature, we can then smell very subtle scents such as flowers, and other smell.

Smell of love is one of them, in a subtle sense again :=). Love is peace, peace is gravity.
