Sahaja Yoga – The Ultimate Spiritual Experience

Sahaja Yoga Meditation

Sahaja Yoga Meditation is meant for everyone who desires to find his or her true self, which is full of peace, joy of life and love for others. It is not just a book or a set of exercises but a living science that will open up to you gradually as your meditations become deeper and your experience stronger and more fulfilling.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation was developed by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. It involves the awakening of a subtle spiritual energy known as the Kundalini which lies dormant in the sacrum bone at the base of the spine in three-and-a-half coils. The gentle awakening of this Kundalini energy and the inner journey of self discovery is known as Enlightenment (Self-realization).

Sahaj means ‘spontaneous’ or ‘born with you’ and yoga translates as ‘union’ (with the Divine or all-pervading power). Sahaja Yoga Meditation then translates as ‘the method of divine union through yoga which everyone is born with’.

Sahaja Meditation

What is Sahaja Yoga?

Duration: 5:03 min.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation classes are held in over 80 countries around the world and are always provided free of charge. Right from the earliest days, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi made it clear that this knowledge and the process of union effected by our Self-realization is the birthright of every human being and therefore cannot be charged for.

The benefits of Sahaja Meditation

  1. General health improves
    Physical, mental and emotional.
The root causes the disease are cleansed from the subtle system.
  2. Relief from the symptoms of stress by:
    • Raising the individual’s stress threshold
    • Changing the internal reactions to the external stimuli that cause stress
    • Having the ability to remain balanced and clear-headed in stressful situations
    • Neutralizing the effects of aggression, frustration and anger in others around us.
    • Improving sleep patterns.
  3. Habits and addictions drop away effortlessly without having to be given up or going through withdrawal symptoms.
  4. Communication skills improve, leading to improved relationships with others.
  5. Focused attention and better concentration leading to improved study and workplace skills. Self-esteem, self confidence and inner sense of security all improve.
  6. Inter-cultural integration. Sahaja Yoga Meditation brings about a true integration of all the major cultures of the world by overcoming all the divisive forces which are tearing the very fabric of societies all over the world.
  7. Emancipation of humanity by bringing about an inner transformation of human beings, the benefits of Sahaja Yoga Meditation accrue not only to the individual, but to society, to the nation and ultimately to the whole of humanity.

    Hi Hayley,
There are several classes in Calgary but if you can’t make the trip to “the city”, check out http://www.freemeditation.tv for online classes, Tuesdays at 7pm (your time) or enjoy some of the classes on this website. You’re in such a beautiful part of the country, you’ll have very nice meditations sitting outside on the Mother earth or if the mountain water isn’t too cold, meditating with your feet in the river.
    Enjoy!

I am seriously want to stop smoking, but what makes me mad is that i have no control on myself to do that, although i play sport, yoga athna & stretching and meditation. I was searching for Sahaja Meditation because i read that it could help stop smoking . Please i need your advise, and would highly appreciate if you tell me how to start and what to do exactly. And is it true that Sahaj Mediation and awakening of kundalini could really make me stop smoking?? Thank you in advance for your support and assistance.

    Dear Manal,

It is a fact that you can easily quit smoking with regular practise of Sahaja Meditation. Kundalini purifies and clears all the impurities within the body thus the desire or attachment to smoking vanishes. I recommend you attending a local Sahaja Meditation class or take our online course.

I’m so keen to broaden my knowledge of this technique and well..myself! :) Thanks for your help!

How to clean visudhi Chakra ?

How to in Thoughtless awareness for long Period?

In Sahaja Yoga Thoughtless awareness is the state. Once kundalini passes through agnya chakra seeker get this state of thoughtlessness. Regularly practicing sahaja yoga meditation will bring this state permanently. But there is no limitation of time seeker can achieve this in few months may be in few years.
Vishuddi is the chakra where human become collective, so it is important to attend collectivity once in a week. You can ask sahaja yogies or coordinator at your center how to clear this chakra.
You can also email me at [email protected].

    Hi there,
I tried Sahaja yoga about a year ago to help get rid of my fear/anxiety. After a few days of practicing sahaja yoga, I felt my kundalini rise up spontaneously during my meditation. It felt warm and tingly and it released through the top of my head. I don’t think I was ready for it because it scared me for some reason so then I stopped meditating, but now I understand what it is and I want to give it another chance. I feel like I have to start all over again though… Do you think my kundalini is still awakened? And can I combine this meditation with chakra meditation?

    Dear Kulwinder,

Sorry for the very late reply,

did you improve in your meditation and managed to figure what the powerful flow is?

It is indeed your spirit expressing itself as well as the way your Kundalini expresses Herself too.

The more you meditate, the more you can understand your energy,

Hi, I would just like to ask if some of this is mind over matter. I have been practicing meditation since August of 2013. I have chronic general anxiety which has over the years become a patterned thought process. I so desparately want to let this go and there is a knowing inside of me that if I could just connect spiritually everything else seems to fall in place but my constant negative chatter gets in the way even though I meditate. I’ve been practicing sahaja yoga meditation for 2 months and have been doing it in the mornings and evenings as well along with the foot soaks. I’m getting more frustrated with myself because I seem to be keeping myself stuck but when I read about it the chakras are just naturally supposed to clear and cleanse yet I feel so defeated by my anxiety. Any comments would be truly appreciated. thanks so much, Laura

    Dear Laura,

anxiety comes from the fact that we are extremely doubting and that we don`t let go, put simply. Meditating morning and evening as well as doing footsoaking is excellent. The question is do you manage to be in a thoughtless state when you do so ?

Chakras are being naturally cleared through meditation that`s right, although sometimes we do need stronger treatments to go deeper. Footsoaking is the first layer and so is thoughtlessness. Next step is to enter into a state without doubt, just one with yourself, “I am the pure Spirit“. That way no anxiety whatsoever remains, no stress, no unsatisfaction, no all bad feelings. It means that you are completely at the center.

Anxiety is many things but it is an Ego projection on a first place. Listen to that it will help you:

BTW, you probably need to do cold footsoaking.

    Warm regards,
    Erwan

    Erwan,

thank you for responding to me. Yes, I know anxiety is an ego projection. My ego has a hold of me and I’m doing everything in my power to let it go. I have a very self defeating mind many times. I don’t usually get completely thoughtless during meditation, however, I have in the odd one and it’s very nice. I have had moments where everything seems to settle and everything feels right, I call it my click moments. I will continue on because I can’t turn back now. I’ve had this pattern for almost 30 years and it’s kept the light away. I will do as you suggested and thanks for the youtube, I will check it out right now….

    thanks

    Dear Laura,

one of the way to reduce/stop Ego is to meditate on a first place, daily, morning and evening as suggested before. A second way is to put your right hand on your left heart and repeat “I’m the pure Spirit”, which is also one of the sentence said, when you go through the Self Realization process. Meditate on that chakra, everyday too

When Ego is powerful, self defeat is a common result of it. We feel inadequate, not able. So you also need to say on the left part of your throat “I’m not guilty of anything”. And believe in it, therefore believe in yourself. Ultimately you can put ice on your Ego to cool it down. The thing is to see it and then get back your attention onto your heart, where love resides :)

    Dear Laura,

you can put the ice directly on the left hand side of your head, or when you feel it, on your liver, which is on the right hand side of your stomach.

The right hand side of the head being Super-ego = all conditionings.

    Best.

    Dear Dinko,

well there is a couple of things that do influence one’s meditation:
    - Alcohol
    - Smoking in general
    - Very bad food

Other than that, there is no need to discontinue worshiping deities, it is perfectly fine :).

    Best,
    Erwan

    Dear Khurshid,

you can simply start by that : http://www.freemeditation.com/online-meditation/self-realization-workshop-kundalini-awakening/
    and see how you feel.
Second step can be the 10 classes, from 1 to 10 or in the order that you prefer http://www.onlinemeditation.org/

Joining a collective class may also be a good idea:

    Dear Rajesh,

meditation does provide one person with the ability to enter into an inner peace state and centered. Below is a link you can use to find the closest center to your place:
    http://www.sahajayoga-blr.org/blore_addresses.html

Sahaja Yoga is all about collective and individual learning and growth, you can eventually ask detailed question to the local yogis :).

We wish you to get back to a clear and light life, it is all about balance :). You can also ask us any question you may have but speaking to the local yogis is still best to do.

    Warm wishes,
    Erwan
