Healing with Sahaja Yoga

According to Deepak Chopra’s book, Ageless Body Timeless Mind our body is continually renewing itself; “The skin replaces itself once a month, the stomach lining every five days, the liver every six weeks and the skeleton every three months.

By the end of this year, 98 percent of the atoms in your body will have been exchanged for new ones.” (p. 9) The implication is that through daily practice of Sahaja yoga the body has a clean energetic slate from which to renew itself rapidly. No more distortions, blocks and negativity. I was remembering this information because it really seemed to me that the physical part of realization with Sahaja Yoga has been happening fast. David and I are both having amazing healings both physically and emotionally.

Back in November ’99 when I initially learned sahaja yoga I really didn’t have anything physically wrong with me. I was searching for a transformative experience that would propel me to self realization and fulfillment. And I got it.

In March of 2000 I woke up one morning with a crystal clear realization of what I needed to do to be fulfilled in life. It was like someone lit a pilot light in me and I had a compelling vision for the future. It changed everything for me… it gave me strength, confidence, courage and power that I had never known as an adult. David, my husband, saw the changes in me and at some point he started doing sahaja too. His life changed dramatically as well – he found fulfillment which led to a major financial healing for us. So we upgraded our 1 bedroom apartment in Oakland CA to a lovely house in Carmichael CA (Sacramento) in July 2004. Then a year later circumstances brought us another change of address this time to Kingwood TX (Houston). At some point the sahaja yoga was forgotten, probably in the move to Sacramento. I don’t think I ever thought about doing sahaja in Sacramento. Things gradually slid back physically, emotionally and financially. The amnesia lasted just about 5 years until this past July 2009. Luckily the amnesia was only temporary.

Linda, I would like to know if you still live in the Houston area. I am from around the area and have a hard time finding Sahaja Yogis. I would love to meet you if you are still here. -Jennifer
