When-Where-How did you start Sahaja Yoga?

I started in 1993 in Auckland, NZ. I was locked into a mainline church and was very disillusioned, felt it was going nowhere. I was rapidly losing respect for this organization. I was searching for something better.

What benefits did you get from Sahaja Yoga meditation?

General well-being, peace. Gradual change in my outlook. Removal of a lot of fear. Ability to pierce through the Agnya which I had been trying to do for a long time. Gradual improvement of neck and shoulder problems. Feeling that at last this was something that could really help me whereas other things failed. Difference seen by my friends. Ability to deal with ongoing anger problems and gradually feel a difference so that my first reaction changed to seeing the funny side of things rather than get angry. I wasn’t forced to accept straight away and there was no shame or lack of faith assumed when I took things at my own pace.

Additional comments

It’s a gradual but sure process. It doesn’t cost any money because it’s priceless and should not be confused with consumerism. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
