My experience with Sahaja Yoga

I started meditating with Sahaja Yoga about ten years ago. Although I was very happy, having many friends, activities and hobbies, with no particular financial issues and studying like many other young people of my age, I was still looking for something greater than my actual life offered at that time, something beyond just physical matters and material aspects.

I didn’t really understand what I found when I started meditating, only that it was relaxing me, ultimately making me happier than I was already. That was a good sign. I was meeting people who were collectively practising Sahaja Yoga on a regular basis and I was able to relate to them.
A couple of years after that, in and out of the yoga, I started understanding that it wasn’t just about coming, meditating, having fun and seeing people, but about a more spiritual understanding of who I am and what I could do with it on a deeper level. I wanted to show it to people and, in a very simple fashion, bring them light, relaxation and happiness. I also wanted to bring them spiritual knowledge.

But that was not everything. The founder of Sahaja Yoga, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, who is presented on the first day of Self Realization, really intrigued me and I wanted to know more about her. Some people do continue for years without any knowledge about her, but for those people like me who are a little more interested in knowing her background and story, it was worth inquiring deeper.

That is when I found a lady full of love and warmth, for whom life’s purpose was to awaken people to a higher state of consciousness known as thoughtless awareness through our inner energy called as Kundalini. With that, life becomes very easy. I got to spend enough time with her to figure out that she would look after me like no one else in the entire world. She would also travel the entire globe to bring that energy to all people. It was for me an incredible discovery. I don’t know anyone like Her today, capable of providing all that she has provided on each and every level of life.

    I started doing meditation from my heart from the end of 2013 after I feel some kind of positive energy surrounds me when I do meditation in a large group.
    It is really relaxing and effective. Now I can feel the vibrations of shri mataji in my heart.

    Hi Erwin I do sahajyoga from long time and it was my urge to come in sahajyoga no one convinced me to come in sahajyoga .I truly respect mataji and consider her as our mother . But still I m not regular with meditation . I wanted to go into this topic on deeper level . I Questioned mataji s all talks and speeches . And started searching for the evidence of it in many literature . I must confess that when u will go in deep research I did u will no the truth
    As bible says. Ye shall know the truth and truth will make u free.
    So find the truth know the truth and once u know it u Will know holiness of shri mataji nirmala devi
